Previously, he held key positions at the West Virginia Attorney General’s Office, serving as Deputy Attorney General (1980-1982), Senior Assistant Attorney General (1979-1980), and Assistant Attorney General (1977-1979).
He earned his JD from West Virginia University College of Law (1977) and his BA from Middlebury College (1973).
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, as well as the American Society of Legal Advocates (since 2012).
